Terms and conditions for online purchases

The following e-commerce terms and conditions apply to the purchase of goods on Hartmanns.com owned by Hartmann’s ApS, Bredgade 4, DK-1260 Copenhagen K, Denmark, Company Registration No. (CVR):

We recommend that you read the following terms and conditions carefully before making a purchase in our online shop.

Ordering products Hartmann’s offers a limited selection of our collection in our online shop. If you want to order a piece of jewellery from our online shop, you can do so by clicking the ‘Add to basket’ button in the product description.

Click the ‘basket’ icon to see the list of items you have added to your shopping basket.

Items that have been added to the basket are not purchased until you have clicked ‘Add to basket’ and entered your delivery and debit/credit card information on the next pages.

Once you click ‘Approve order’ and the credit card issuer has approved your credit card information and we have registered your order, you will receive a receipt by e-mail with your order confirmation.

Please note that you are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter on hartmanns.com, as we will not subsequently validate or verify your information. The staff at Hartmann’s handle online orders Monday to Friday from 09.00 – 15.00.


Orders placed outside these hours will be processed on the next business day.

Payment & Security All prices on the website are inclusive of Danish VAT (25%).

We reserve the right to change the prices on the website with immediate effect.

The valid price for your purchase is the price stated next to the item on the website at the time you receive your order confirmation. You can choose to pay by Visa debit card, Visa credit card, Mastercard, Maestro, JCB, Visa Electron, China Union Pay or American Express.

When you receive your order confirmation, the amount will be reserved in your account. We process your credit card information confidentially and for the sake of your security, we encrypt all your card information using the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol.

This means that unauthorised persons can not read your card number or other information during the transaction. When you approve the purchase, the amount will be reserved in your account. 

If you change your mind about your purchase, the amount is still reserved for 30 days unless you contact your card issuer (bank) and request that they cancel the reservation.

Hartmann’s can not cancel the reservation. Once your item is shipped from Hartmann’s, the purchase amount will be deducted from your card, and you will receive an invoice by e-mail with information about the expected delivery time.


The amount debited will never be larger than the amount you have approved for the purchase.

Shipping & delivery of goods

We can only deliver purchases made on hartmanns.com to Denmark, and not to the Faroe Islands, Greenland or other foreign countries. Hartmann’s uses FedEx for deliveries to recipients located in Denmark.

Delivery is made to the delivery address you provided when ordering. 

The delivery cost is DKK 300 and is payable by the buyer.

If the item is in stock, it will be shipped from Hartmann’s on the Tuesday or Thursday after you have received your order confirmation.

We expect that FedEx will deliver to your delivery address within 2-3 business days after the package has been collected at Hartmann’s. Since we cannot guarantee local delivery conditions, we can not reliably determine when the package will arrive at the delivery address.

If delivery time is longer than expected, you will be notified by e-mail immediately after your order has been handled.

Ownership is transferred from Hartmann’s to the purchaser when the package has been delivered to the agreed delivery address and the purchaser has acknowledged receipt of the package.


Goods purchased online at hartmanns.com can also be picked up in our shop on Bredgade 4, DK-1260 Copenhagen K.

Right of withdrawal, exchange and return of goods

Goods purchased in the shop At Hartmann’s, we will happily exchange goods purchased in the shop within 8 days. This requires that the item is in its original condition and unused. This does not apply to special orders or items that have been modified. These items can not be exchanged or returned. For exchanges, the invoice should always be presented, and the original certificate returned. We do not provide cash refunds for purchases made in the shop.

We are happy to provide a credit voucher.

Customers have 2 years’ warranty under the Danish Sale of Goods Act if the goods are defective, delayed or do not match the description.

If your package arrives damaged, we recommend that you make a note that you received a damaged package when you sign for the delivery.

If you want to use your warranty or otherwise complain about your online purchase, please contact us with information about the purchase and the reason for complaint within a reasonable time after you have discovered the issue.

Availability and pricing are subject to change at any time, and we are not responsible for typographical errors or any failure to deliver by our suppliers.

Please note that we cannot guarantee the colours and qualities in the online shop’s images will be reproduced 100% correctly – partly due to users’ individual PC and display settings, and partly because gemstones are natural products that can vary in colour and intensity.
